Principal’s Message
Welcome to our school, a vibrant and inclusive learning community where every child is supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Set in a beautiful natural environment and enriched by strong family and community partnerships, our school strives to provide a holistic education that nurtures the academic, physical, creative, and emotional development of all our pupils.
Our outdoor facilities include basketball courts, an astro turf pitch, a running track, a school garden, and a fully equipped junior yard with soft surfaces and engaging play installations. We are fortunate to be located beside the beautiful River Fergus, where our kayaking club, Kayak le Chéile, is now firmly established. It is a joy to witness our pupils’ confidence and competence in water sports grow year on year.
We are a coeducational Catholic primary school with over 30 committed staff including teachers, SNAs, secretary, caretaker and play therapists who work together to support every child in becoming a confident, curious, and lifelong learner. All classrooms feature the latest digital technologies, including Promethean Interactive Panels, pupil-access PCs, and a shared suite of iPads, that enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.
Music plays a central role in our school life. Children from 2nd to 6th class have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and participate in our junior and senior school bands. Thanks to a highly successful instrument donation scheme, both instruments and tuition are provided free of charge to all participating pupils.
We value the vital role of parents as primary educators and are proud of the strong partnership we maintain with our families. Parents regularly participate in school life through language classes, cookery, yoga, Maths For Fun, Science For Fun, and many other enriching activities that support and celebrate learning.
We are delighted to provide free hot school meals for all pupils and operate a free book scheme to ensure that the cost of schooling remains as accessible as possible for families.
Our on-site preschool, Room to Bloom, provides two daily sessions from 09:00–12:00 and 12:30–15:30. For enquiries, please contact Hazel at 087 791 9948 or 085 859 4250.
For enrolment and all other queries, please contact the school office at 065 682 0105.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.
